The New Jersey Department of Military and Veterans Affairs Employee Activity Committee holds several official events each year, the summer social, winter social, and several Bagel & Coffee days along with other events sponsored by the committee . These events are held to bolster Departmental Cohesion and Esprit De Corps among our DMAVA family. Certain events are fundraisers to help lower the costs associated with other events, such as the Bagel & Coffee events proceeds being used to lower the cost of the annual summer/winter social. These These events are open to the entire Department to include all Federal & State employees.
In order to assist individual NJ National Guard units both Air and Army with official events they are holding, the NJDMAVA Employee Activity Committee allows them to utilize our online registration portal. This portal allows the units to accept credit card payments online for registration for their events. The proceeds are deposited directly into the DMAVA Employee Activity Fund. A check is made payable to the unit or association. There are no hidden fees associated with this service, rather a $10.00 event fee plus 4.4% fee (subtracted from the total) to cover the associated credit card processing fees & web hosting as we are not-for-profit. This fee can be paid by the registrant or the unit/department holding the event. It is recommended to take these fees into account when selecting the pricing for your events.
Units may also utilize this portal free-of-charge for free events to allow for easy registration and check-in capabilities.
